Dear Morley Observer,
I just wanted to write in and congratulate the Morley Amateur Operatic Society for their outstanding pantomime, which even equalled the excellent Cinderella performance of last year.
'Snow White' was funny, touching and at times brilliantly surreal; One would never expect to see the Ghostbusters in a production of Snow White!' but it certainly worked! Steven Holt was in usual form and hilariously funny as the pantomime dame, Carolyn Dickinson was devilishly wicked as the queen, Billy Whizz played by James Greatorex, sang and acted with such confidence and professionalism.
All performers were excellent, but two memorable performances were by Daniel Hayes who played the mirror, complete with a French accent and also the very young and beautiful little Imogen Dalton who certainly stole the show as one of the seven dwarfs.
Where else could you see such a brilliant and ingenuous production of Snow White but here in Morley!
With best wishes,
Andrea Jenkyns
