At today's Transport Questions Andrea asked the Rail Minister what steps the Government is taking to improve facilities at train stations in the North as part of the Government's Northern Powerhouse.
Morley Station has suffered from years of chronic underinvestment, and Andrea is working hard to see improvements to facilities and disabled access that currently severely limit who can use the station.
Andrea asked her to meet with me to discuss potential improvements that could be made.
While Morley has often been put behind other stations with higher footfall when it comes to investment, the Minister has agreed to meet with me to discuss how we can push for better facilities and disabled access.
After the session Andrea said:
"I'm delighted that the Government recognises that this is much needed and I look forward to the chance to meet with Claire Perry to discuss this."
